Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette says hamstring improving, optimistic for Sunday

Saquon Barkley’s debut left him wondering what could have been

Jaguars coach Doug Marrone told reporters the injury was "minor" and Fournette is day-to-day, though the team isn't looking to hurry the rusher back too soon.

Fournette said he feels comfortable playing Sunday even if he doesn't practice this week.

Fournette did not practice for the second consecutive day but said he started running on Thursday.

"I think everyone, whenever you play some of the best teams, you want to see where you're measured up to", Brady said. "Why do I want to jump?" Marrone hopes the running back will be able to test his hamstring in practice by Friday.

So in that spirit, Tom Brady is eager to find out what this season's Patriots are capable of Sunday when they pit themselves against the team they topped in last year's AFC title game, the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Netflix's 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' Teaser Trailer Debuts
Netflix is planning to reboot the series, but their reiteration of the friendly witch is miles away from the Sabrina of the 90's. The new trailer honours the roots of the original comic book series - at least as far as the overly dark and satanic tone.

This Sunday's showdown obviously is a huge test for both teams, and the Jags nearly certainly would like to exact some revenge after losing to the Patriots in last season's AFC Championship Game with a trip to Super Bowl LII on the line.

"Of course any person would give anything to play", Fournette said. "We'll just have to see". "A 4:30 game, so everyone's going to be watching", Brady said.

Fournette was asked about balancing the desire to play with being smart about the injury early in a 16-game season.

Jacksonville could be without one of its biggest playmakers for one of its biggest games on the schedule. Fournette carried the ball 14 times for 41 yards and caught three passes for 14 yards before exiting in the second quarter.
