Joaquin Phoenix's full Joker look for the standalone film as been revealed and it's freaking us out.

After what seems like an eternity, we have finally caught a glimpse of Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime. The song from "The Guess Who" is a cool way to convey that the film will be a period piece, and Phoenix looks quite unhinged both pre and post-transformation.

Joker is scheduled for release in October 2019. Growing in frequency, the lights turn into a faint projected image of Arthur in Joker makeup before completely replacing him with our first full look at director Todd Phillip's version of the iconic Batman villain.

The camera test shows Arthur Fleck descend into madness as his new identity, although we're sure this won't be the final look for The Joker, but could just be a transitional look itself.

Of the great players the club has had in the past, Paul sits in the great pantheon of those players - there's no question about that.

Phillips' Joker flick isn't the only one in the works. During the quick video, we could see the makeup-less Joker standing there with a big smile on his face as quick flashes of clown imagery appear over his face. Jared Leto's Joker wasn't as legendary, but he still brought a powerful revision to the role.

The brief video clip involves a slow zoom into Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, his protagonist's pre-Joker form, who's described in the official Warner Bros. plot synopsis as "a man disregarded by society".

The hype for this movie which will have many genre fans salivating with anticipation, continued today with a trailer that reveals this film will revovle around the origins of the character.
