Anthony Joshua weighed in nearly two stone heavier than opponent Alexander Povetkin ahead of Saturday's fight at Wembley Stadium. He successfully defended the three titles against Carlos Takam on October 28, 2017 in Cardiff.

This fight sees Joshua returning to the scene of arguably his greatest triumph, an 11th-round stoppage of former champion Wladimir Klitschko a year ago.

Joshua, who is undefeated in 21 fights - 20 of which he won through knockouts, added the WBO world heavyweight title to his collection when he beat Joseph Parker by unanimous decision in March at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

It might not be the monster clash with Deontay Wilder that fans were expecting but it's a job that needs to be done for Anthony Joshua.

. When I fought Klitschko, I thought we would have a good boxing match. Oboh also spoke on the massive support the Russian enjoys from his government and, in particular, Vladmir Putin the President of the country who views tonight's bout as one between England against Russia.

This Is My Plan For Diogo Dalot - Jose Mourinho
What we'll see is two good teams of football trying to achieve the best result possible. I don't want to say was [Eric] Bailly or [Phil] Jones and is now Smalling or Lindelöf.

You know, two tall guys jab, one-two, one-two hook and I'm probably going to knock him out like I did the rest of the fighters. The fight will show everything. This fight is definitely on and I can't wait, man.

"I never try to say anything ahead of time, you'll see everything on fight night".

"It's Chapter Two to a certain degree but I just feel relaxed and calm". "It's time to put on a performance".

Povetkin, the mandatory WBA challenger and like Joshua a past Olympic gold medalist, had weighed in for his previous fight against Britain's David Price at 16 stones five pounds.
