Julie Chen Quits "The Talk"

Upon her return to the reality competition, Chen greeted viewers saying "Good evening, I'm Julie Chen Moonves", which is her way of showing support for her husband Les Moonves, who is faced with numerous sexual misconduct accusations. The current word is that Chen wishes to finish the current season of Big Brother, and if the show gets renewed for another season or more, she would want to host those successive seasons as well. The IF is bringing the show back for another season. She has hosted the show, which is now in its 20th season, for the past 18 years.

She has been married to Moonves since 2004. First, the "BB" shooting schedule is less demanding than "The Talk" so it gives her more time to spend with her husband and son - something she says is a priority. Chen called the trio "The Three Musketeers" in her goodbye message, played at the end of Tuesday's episode.

"She will continue to work on Big Brother and looks forward to hosting the show for years to come", a separate source close to her also told PEOPLE.

"The Talk" began strongly against "The View", the ABC show it is clearly modeled after, and even eclipsed its rival in the ratings four years ago.
