Tha Carter V marks a bit of history for Wayne.

In a recent tweet, Kanye acknowledged that his album which is to drop this Saturday will be overshadowed by Lil Wayne's album but is unfazed by that. And a couple months after that, Wayne said that the delays had to do with the album's length, and teased that the first part of it would arrive in December 2014.

The 36-year-old rapper had originally announced the release in 2012 but it was delayed due to his ongoing dispute with record label Cash Money. That resulted in an extended legal battle over when and how the album could be released.

Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) are widely considered the most likely to reject Kavanaugh in the final vote. Once the White House gives Congress the FBI's report, lawmakers might decide to hold a hearing or change their vote.

Since 2011's Tha Carter IV, Lil Wayne has released no less than 13 projects, including four new installments of his Dedication mixtape series, I Am Not A Human Being II and collaborative albums Collegrove (with 2 Chainz) and T-Wayne (with T-Pain).

Lil Wayne released his highly-anticipated album Tha Carter V on Friday (Sept. 21), and fans are losing their minds on social media. On that song, he rapped, "And when I attempted suicide, I didn't die / I remember how mad I was on that day / Man, you gotta let it go before it get up in the way".

The album kicks off with his mother, Jacida Carter, leaving him an appreciative and emotional message about him providing for their family since his younger years.
