The Reds, who remain unbeaten this season, host Chelsea in a live Sky Sports third-round clash on Wednesday evening as Klopp continues his quest for a first trophy since taking over at Anfield in 2015.

"It's nice, really in the competition, and so now we want to show we're ready for that as well".

And he doesn't buy suggestions Jurgen Klopp needs more signings to get the job done.

Klopp has made an omission about what his team will look like in an interview with Liverpool FC: "Simon (Mignolet) will start, all the rest you have to wait until tomorrow - but it will be a good team, believe me".

That seems a long time for Fabinho to transition into the Liverpool team but, when you look back at Klopp's time with Liverpool, it could be the ideal solution.

These are players not really regarded as first-choice, yet they were determined to impress Jurgen Klopp.

So far, he has featured in all of Chelsea's Premier League games this season and he also earned a call-up to represent the Spanish national team recently. Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip, Alberto Moreno and Fabinho should all start.

"Football players are used to that", added Klopp.

Why Fifa agreed to limit loan deals
Uniform restrictions on compensation for player agents and a required registration procedure have also been agreed in principle. The recommendations are expected to be ratified at the next FIFA Council meeting in Kigali, Rwanda, on October 25-26.

"But he obviously doesn't need as much time as I do [to make an impact]".

Nevertheless, that hasn't been enough to displace the likes of James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum who are more than holding their own against new signings with impressive form.

"He trains fantastic, it's all good, and he absolutely deserves the game tomorrow". The pressure is already there.

Do you the Fabinho situation is being handled well? That's it. We are not changing these players. The 29-year-old has not played this season after aggravating an earlier pelvic injury during Croatia's march to the World Cup final in Russian Federation in July.

"Yes, Simon would have been ready to go to another club to be the number one in the world, that was clear, but we couldn't do it and since then he's been brilliant".

"There are only two competitions per week".

Van Dijk sustained a knock to an earlier rib injury and was substituted in the second half of Liverpool's 3-0 victory over Southampton on Saturday, a result that left the early Premier League pace-setters with six wins from as many games. "It depends on us how long we will play them".
