Avenatti Claims to Have Evidence That Brett Kavanaugh Was Involved in 'Gang Rapes&apos in High School

The allegations come from Julie Swetnick, who is the third woman to publicly come forward with sexual misconduct claims against Kavanaugh.

"In approximately 1982, I became the victim of one of these "gang" or "train" rapes where Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh were present".

Kavanaugh has categorically denied both of those allegations, and has said that "I've never sexually assaulted anyone" in a Fox News interview that aired Monday.

Ford has alleged that Kavanaugh's friend, Mark Judge, was in the room watching and laughing.

His third accuser, Julie Swetnick, named the pair of high school classmates as alleged participants in gang rapes at parties in the early 1980s. "I've never done any such thing, known about any such thing", Kavanaugh said, adding that he went to an all-boys Catholic high school and focused on academics and athletics.

She also claims that Kavanaugh would attempt to "spike" the "punch" at these parties with drugs "so as to cause girls to lose their inhibitions and their ability to say 'no'". She has held a variety of public and private sector jobs over the years, including working for federal government agencies.

Kavanaugh has not simply denied the latest accusation, but said he didn't know Swetnick and he considers the whole story something from "The Twilight Zone".

The panel chairman, Chuck Grassley, has left open the possibility that its members may not vote on the nomination by the end of the week.

Though there was little information on Swetnick available online before Avenatti's tweet, her declaration, which Avenatti said he provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee, was sworn under penalty of perjury.

Users from the United Kingdom and Europe had earlier reported widespread difficulty in connecting to the server. Problems appear to have been experienced across the United Kingdom , as well as in parts of Europe.

Swetnick said she was aware of other witnesses who could attest to the truthfulness of her entire declaration.

Avenatti has previously said that his client will come forward soon. The time given is "BEACH WEEK", which is listed on the calendar that Brett Kavanaugh released this morning.

A spokesperson for New York Life told The Wall Street Journal that Swetnick worked for the organization for less than two years.

Avenatti called for an FBI investigation into Swetnick's allegations.

She said she witnessed Kavanaugh participating in some of the misconduct, including lining up outside a bedroom where "numerous boys" were "waiting for their "turn" with a girl inside the room". She also teaches in a consortium program with Stanford University's School of Medicine.

If Democrats take control of the House of Representatives in the midterm elections, which prognosticators believe is increasingly likely, Johnson would become chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet. Kavanaugh denies the incident ever took place.

"During the incident, I was incapacitated without my consent and unable to fight off the boys raping me", Swetnick states. Kavanaugh has not yet responded to the newest allegation. "Representing her in the complaint was the firm run by Debra Katz, the lawyer now representing Dr. Ford".

It is not clear whether Kavanaugh would ultimately be implicated even if Rasor did testify, but her willingness to do so does highlight just how limited the hearing - at which only Ford and Kavanaugh are expected to testify - is shaping up to be.
