It's not uncommon for people to work with multiple electronic devices these days.

Beginning Oct. 2, Office 365 Home and Personal subscribers will be able to install Office on "an unlimited number of devices-and be signed into their accounts on up to five of those devices at the same time", Microsoft's Jared Spataro announced in a Thursday post on the Office 365 Blog. Microsoft is also integrating the Home subscription with the Microsoft family service, so your Office 365 subscription will automatically be shared with the members who are part of your Microsoft family.

This is a big change over the current system where Home subscribers can install only on 10 devices across five users, and Personal subscribers on one device across PC, Mac, and Tablet. However, you'll only be able to sign into up to five at the same time.

That is going to change as Microsoft is killing the install limits as of October 2, 2018. That means you can install the Office suite on any number of smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops.

Sen. John McCain lies in state at U.S. Capitol
Part of the 8-mile (13-kilometer) route was lined with USA flags and campaign-style placards that simply read "McCain". John McCain died Saturday at age 81 after a more than year-long battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer.

The Office 365 Home subscription is already an incredible deal. A Personal subscription now limits you to just two total installs: one on a PC or Mac and one on a tablet. Starting October 2, we're increasing the number of licenses in a Home subscription from 5 to 6.

If you're an Office 365 subscriber, you're about to get a lot more out of your subscription. Each users also gets 1TB of OneDrive storage, so for $99.99 per year, you're not just getting Office, but a total of 6TB of OneDrive storage (1TB per user) as well.

If that additional user needs access, they can use any web browser to access the Microsoft account, installs page and sign out of a device not in use.

Microsoft announced today that it is improving its Office 365 Home and Personal offerings in some important and notable ways.
