Milwaukee Brewers acquire Gio Gonzalez from Washington Nationals

The Brewers have acquired left-hander Gio Gonzalez from the Nationals in exchange for two minor leaguers, according to multiple reports from Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic and MLB.com's Jamal Collier.

Pitcher Gio Gonzalez #47 of the Washington Nationals delivers a pitch against the New York Mets during the fourth inning of a game at Citi Field on August 24, 2018 in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City.

Even taking his recent slump into account, the lefty has consistently proven to be an above-average starter for an above-.500 team, and will aim to finish strong as the Brewers make a push for the playoffs next month.

Gonzalez has tallied a 3.71 ERA over his 11-year career.

Beyond that, she is a prisoner of conscience who has been unjustly jailed and must be released immediately and unconditionally. Her supporters confirmed she collapsed this morning after suffering several panic attacks.

Gonzalez has been a mainstay of Washington's rotation through its run of regular-season success, including NL East titles in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017.

"Look, we're at the stage where we're just getting outs and we're gonna try to get 27 outs a game", Cousell said.

Acquired in a trade with the Athletics after the 2011 season, Gonzalez's first year with the Nationals was his best.

The 11-year veteran has struggled in 2017. Washington received minor league infielders KJ Harrison and Gilbert Lara in the deal.
