Missy Elliott Surprising Her 'Funky White Sister' on 'Ellen' Is Exactly What You Need to See Today

Missy Elliott made a huge surprise appearance on Ellen to join a fan, Mary Halsey, who went viral a month ago for slaying Work It at a karaoke competition.

"It was a shock", Halsey tells DeGeneres of her success.

Performing Missy Elliot's "Work It" for 15 years really paid off for one shofar-loving woman from Rhode Island. Though Halsey was starstruck, she quickly regained her composure and finished the song with Elliott's arm around her. The best part about the performance, however, is that Halsey had no idea the rapper would be joining her. Elliott was such a fan of her performance that she shared it on Twitter and solidified her status as the artist's "funky white sister".

She later sat down alongside Missy, who praised the viral sensation.

Myanmar's Suu Kyi says in hindsight could have handled Rakhine issue better
However, Aung San Suu Kyi said the reporters have the right to "appeal the judgment and to point out why the judgment was wrong". In her comments, Suu Kyi said she had read the ruling herself and questioned whether those criticising it had done the same.

"She know all the words, and I forget my own words", Elliott said of Halsey.

"First I want to thank Ellen for just being fantastic she will always be blessed because of her HUGE Heart!,' Missy said on Instagram following the show".

She was later gifted a signed t-shirt and a jacket embroidered with her famous nickname-Missy's funky white sister.

'First I want to thank Ellen for just being fantastic she will always be blessed because of her HUGE Heart!,' she captioned a video of her and Halsey. Missy revealed that the mumbled lyrics right after the line, "I put my thing down, flip it and reverse it", are actually that same phrase - only reversed.
