As the Post notes, "Mueller's decision to accept at least some written responses represents a concession to Trump's legal team, which since December has resisted the special counsel's efforts to interview the president".

Special counsel Robert Mueller has reportedly dropped his insistence that President Trump appear in person to answer questions related to potential coordination his 2016 election campaign and Russian Federation, agreeing instead to accept written responses.

The months long negotiations over a potential presidential interview have gone on through several different iterations of the Trump legal team.

In appearances on television news programs, Giuliani has frequently discussed Mueller's pursuit of an interview with the president, seeming to wax and wane about the likelihood and desirability of such an interview. The president believes that he has done nothing wrong and that he can prove that and bring an end to the investigation.

Trump said Mueller and the fired FBI Director were 'best friends, ' although Comey's team has described it as an ordinary office friendship.

Mueller did not rule out interviewing the president as part of his wide-ranging inquiry. That includes whether the president obstructed justice in his attempts to undermine the Russian Federation investigation.

India's rupee hit a new record low of 72 against the dollar on Thursday as emerging market currencies suffered hefty losses. The rupee hasn't crashed as much as Turkish Lira or Argentine Peso did versus the greenback.

The president claimed he had a previous business dispute with Mueller, but he offered no specifics - and then claimed to have compromising photographs of the two former Federal Bureau of Investigation directors together.

It was not immediately clear what those conditions mean for other questions Mueller is exploring.

Jay Sekulow, counsel to the president, said: "We continue to maintain an ongoing dialogue with the Office of Special Counsel". A White House spokeswoman did not return a request for comment.

'So that's four things, that's four, then you have the conflicts of the people - you know I call them the 17 angry Democrats, I guess they're being lowered down now, ' Trump said, referencing staff that transferred out of Mueller's office. "You know, I'm not the target of this investigation, just in case you don't realize".

"Republicans are trying to hide as much about Kavanaugh's record as they can because they know it would be damning", Meyers argued, showing Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) bang his gavel as 2010's Grassley, on split screen, demanded all documents relating to then-Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan and ample time to review them. "We are now awaiting their response", Giuliani said.
