Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Trailer Invites You to a Super Satanic 16 Party

The first teaser for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was just released and proves this is definitely a new, creepy era of Sabrina. If she does, she becomes a full-fledged witch.

Based on this trailer, it also seems to be the beginning of Sabrina's struggle in trying to choose between the witch world and the human world with her friends and boyfriend, Harvey (Ross Lynch).

The new trailer honours the roots of the original comic book series - at least as far as the overly dark and satanic tone. Aj Lee followed up, "PLEASE DON'T BE LIKE RIVERDALE", while user NumShei admitted, "I am kind of afraid [since] Riverdale is such a bad show". A modern show with a timeless look and feel.

Yeah, I think this is going to be good.

Pope Summons Bishops For Sexual Abuse Summit
A shocking Pennsylvania grand jury report detailed over 1,000 instances of sexual abuse by 300 priests and cover-ups by bishops . Pope Francis will meet with US cardinals and bishops Thursday to discuss the sex abuse scandal , according to the Vatican .

In the wickedly dark trailer, Shipka as Sabrina is shown celebrating her birthday with a bizarrely dark birthday party. After all, they're on completely different networks. Netflix is planning to reboot the series, but their reiteration of the friendly witch is miles away from the Sabrina of the 90's.

A woman sings a chilling rendition of Happy Birthday as the teaser begins with a flash of cryptic images of the Spellman Mortuary and Sabrina at high school.

We're all invited to Sabrina's spooky sweet 16, so be sure to mark your calendars.

"Mad Men" alum Kiernan Shipka takes on the lead role in the clip, with a chilling version of "Happy Birthday" playing in the background as she's presented with a cake. It's already been approved for a second season.
