Qureshi will be addressing the 73rd session, which opened on September 18, and will present Pakistan's position and speak about Indian violence in Kashmir.

India's Ambassador to the UN, Syed Akbaruddin on Sunday said, "If somebody (Pakistan) else would like to be a one-trick pony, it is for them to regurgitate an act which we have handled many times in the past and are confident we will do so again". Qureshi arrived here in the city Saturday night for a day-long stay before departing for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session at its headquarters in NY.

The foreign minister will be heading for NY to attend the UN General Assembly's 73rd session - which opens on September 18 - on Monday, where he would be heading the Pakistani delegation. Anybody can try and be a solo player.

Akbaruddin said that even when India talks about terrorism, it does not treat it as just a bilateral issue but deals with it in the worldwide context of havoc it wreaks around the world, for example the Boko Haram in Africa, and terrorist groups elsewhere.

Member of the British House of Lords, Lord Nazir Ahmed on Saturday said India was emerging as intolerant and fascist nation for supporting fascist groups and also for suppressing the voice of Kashmiri people during their freedom movement.

Earlier while addressing a presser with Member of British House of Lords Nazir Ahmed, she said that the issue of Kashmir is now worse than Palestine, and Indian has occupied the land of the Kashmiris.

She also proposed that Pakistani leaders should call an all-parties conference (APC) on India declining the invitation by Prime Minister Imran Khan for dialogue to resolve all issues peacefully.

India called off the talks on the sidelines of the UNGA accusing Pakistan and its newly-elected prime minister Imran Khan of "evil designs" after three policemen were kidnapped and killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian.

"Disappointed at the arrogant and negative response by India to my call for resumption of the peace dialogue".

When asked about Khan's response, Akbaruddin said India responds to multi-lateral issues of global nature that it is confronted with.

If he raises issues relating to India, the nation would have a right of reply which could take place towards the end of that session or Monday's session. "Those will be addressed bilaterally in a format in which we desire to address them".

She said that Pakistan has always preferred peace and dialogue, but India has backed away as it does not want to solve the problems in occupied Kahsmir, which is the biggest challenge facing the India government. "Even in our neighbuorhood, terrorism has increased as a major threat. This has been our perennial concern and obviously perennial concerns will be articulated in unison with many other countries that are raising this", he said. Pakistan's foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi is expected to highlight the situation in Kashmir during his General Assembly address, Pakistani media reported on Monday. Qureshi arrived in NY over the weekend and is scheduled to address the annual world body session on September 29.
