NIck Foles Expected To Start The Philadelphia Eagles' Season Opener

Carson Wentz's return is on hold - for now.

Nick Foles is expected to be the Eagles' starter in their season opener Thursday against the Atlanta Falcons, sources who have weighed in on Philadelphia's quarterback situation told ESPN. "But this is a long-term decision for the face of the franchise".

The news of Foles starting comes a day after John Clark of NBC 10 cornered the surgeon who repaired Wentz's knee, Dr. Jim Bradley, for some revealing on-the-record comments. "I certainly commend him on that".

The airport said the fire was extinguished within eight minutes and everyone on board was evacuated within 17 minutes. Safety concerns have plagued Russia's airline industry as it has witnessed multiple fatal crashes in recent years.

The Eagles have not posted an official decree on the matter, since Coach Pederson prefers to make those announcements "90 minutes before kickoff".

The prevailing thought was that the Eagles couldn't risk waiving Mailata for practice squad development while making him available for another team to claim him. Those with a bird's eye view see things playing out cautiously for Wentz even though reports indicate his mobility is right on track, and his throwing velocity is actually greater than it was to begin the year last season. Medical studies show that athletes who return less than nine months after surgery tend to re-tear their ligaments up to 40 percent more frequently than those who wait nine months.

"It should be a cautious approach", Bradley said.
