Raiders and DE Khalil Mack 'essentially nowhere' in contract talks

According to Cleveland.com, the team is expected to reach out to the Raiders to inquire about a possible trade.

The good news for the Browns is that the Raiders are now "weighing" multiple trade offers, according to NFL.com.

The Oakland Raiders would have a gaping hole on their defense with the loss of Khalil Mack, but are suffering more by continuing to have him on the roster. Donald was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2017, and Mack was in 2016.

That frees Donald to join the Rams for their season opener on "Monday Night Football" against the Raiders, who were probably watching the Donald contract talks closely.

She said the department's filing "ignores the well-documented racial bias embedded in grades and standardized test scores". Democrats criticized the decision, saying that the Trump administration was taking away protections for minorities.

This information basically reveals that the team doesn't have much motivation to actually do a deal and get the disgruntled Mack off the team.

Mack now is set to make $13.8 million this season. Nothing's off the table.

Jackson couldn't mention Mack's name specifically, because that would be tampering, but he did say that the Browns would be looking at all options when it comes to adding players. I think it will and I still think Mack reports in the next few days. "So we're going to look at any and everything that would help us do that".
