There is a hole in the Raiders scheme and there isn't one man on the roster that can fill the tremendous hole left by All-Pro, but somehow, Jon Gruden still can't understand why the Raiders couldn't pressure the Rams enough.

Derek Carr looked at one point like he had the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League, but his struggles from last season spilled over into 2018 with a rough game against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night.

The Rams appeared out of sync from the start, as the Raiders amassed 254 yards of total offense in the first half, including 113 receiving yards by tight end Jared Cook, and took a 13-10 lead into halftime. He said, "I think he's scared to take shots - at least against us". Thearon W. "Don't forget that. We have to get ready to play and I want players that want to be here, that want to help us put this thing back in high gear".

The defense also paid dividends as new Ram Marcus Peters got on the scoreboard with a 50-yard interception return for the score. They gave us multiple looks.

By having such a detailed topographical map, new routes to science stations can be planned around the continent's unsafe terrain. And, not the least, scientists can now plan field expeditions to unexplored regions of the continent.

Aaron Donald, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, held out of training camp and reported 10 days before the opener after signing a six-year, $135-million contract extension, to end a contract dispute that dated to 2017.

The remainder of the defense, including Suh, Peters and Talib, played only two series - seven snaps - in Week 3 of the preseason.

The 2016 Defensive Player of the Year may be long gone, but it seems Gruden isn't exactly thrilled with the negativity that came down on him after the Raiders traded Mack.

"He was under contract", Gruden said of Mack. He finished with a tackle.
