Thomas Tuchel says Paris Saint-Germain's 4-0 win over St. Etienne was a good rehearsal for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Liverpool at Anfield.

The Brazil global was in the stands alongside suspended teammate Kylian Mbappe to watch the French champions register their fifth victory from as many Championnat matches through Julian Draxler, Edinson Cavani (penalty), Angel Di Maria and Moussa Diaby goals.

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe sat out PSG's 4-0 defeat of Saint-Etienne on Friday as Tuchel's men moved six points clear at Ligue 1's summit on Friday.

"We know Liverpool will be among our top rivals [in the Champions League], but I have a good feeling about it".

"The team have proven their hunger for wins and I am very happy for that", Tuchel added.

"Neymar played 90 minutes on Wednesday with Brazil, so I did not want to take any risks".

PSG were able to ease to victory in the second half, retaining energy for Tuesday's trip to Anfield in their Group C opener against last season's beaten Champions League finalists.

"We played with seriousness and intensity".

'Before Liverpool it's good as we won all our games, but Liverpool will be different, ; Verratti recently told reporters, as state FourFourTwo. Julian managed to score a great goal, because my pass was not that great - it was really impressive.

"We knew PSG were stronger than us but four goals are expensive. Liverpool will reveal something but most importantly it will give us a better idea of our situation".
