Although Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on October 26 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Red Dead Online is slated to arrive the following month, and even then, it will still be in public beta.

On Wednesday, Rockstar announced that it's launching Red Dead Online as a public beta in November.

But in a moment of expectations-setting, the announcement also warns that players who hop on immediately are likely to experience some growing pains.

Rockstar Games has revealed the first details of Red Dead Redemption II's multiplayer mode, but it won't be available till after launch.

Rockstar also says that Red Dead Online will feature constant updates and adjustments to continuously improve on the online experience.

Recovery efforts were underway Wednesday, said Thom Berry, a spokesman for the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. SLED , the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Horry County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident.

If you're wondering about how this is going to compare to GTA Online or if resources will be shifted away from the more established online multiplayer platform, we've got some answers for you.

As such, the team took the "best elements and content packs" from "GTA Online" for use with what would debut in "Red Dead Online".

When asked why Red Dead Online isn't releasing alongside the rest of the game in a Q&A with IGN, director of design Imran Sarwar explained that the studio sees Red Dead Online as fundamentally separate from the main game.

The few other specifics we know about Red Dead Online gameplay so far come from its Ultimate Edition bonuses: you'll have your own camp that you can decorate with different themes; you can collect new horses, guns, and outfits; and there will be some kind of rank system.

Although they didn't refer to it as a beta at the time, GTA Online was the same and access will be free to anyone with a copy of Red Dead Redemption II on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 (there's still no sign of a PC version).
