Skripal poisoning: Suspects say they were in Salisbury to see cathedral

Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, who were formally accused of attempting to murder former Russian intelligence officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury, are seen in this image handed out by the Metropolitan Police in London.

Russian Federation has repeatedly denied any involvement in the case. British officials say they know the real names of the pair.

"It's famous for its 123-metre spire, it's famous for its clock, one of the first ever created in the world that's still working".

Boshirov and Petrov said they called her because they needed protection and would like an apology from Britain.

"Our friends recommended a long time ago that we visit that wonderful city", the man identifying himself as Petrov told RT.

Last week, Britain announced charges against the two men. The Russian President insisted they were innocent and "civilians", contradicting accusations by Scotland Yard that they were agents of Russian military intelligence, the GRU, which Mr Skripal used to be a member of.

Two Russian men with the same names as those accused by the United Kingdom of the Novichok attack on Sergei Skripal and his daughter have appeared on Russian state television.

The two men accused of carrying out a nerve agent attack on a former spy on British soil broke their cover Thursday to deny their involvement in the fatal mission and claim they had no links to the Russian military intelligence service.

The men had some physical similarities to the men shown in British police images.

They acknowledged they went to Salisbury twice.

In testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Assistant Secretary of State Manisha Singh said the administration is preparing a second round of sanctions against Russian Federation in retaliation for its nerve-agent attack in Britain. It has strongly denied the claim. They are both now in a secure location.

Delhi cop’s son thrashes woman; arrested after Rajnath intervenes
On Friday, Singh took to Twitter to inform that he had taken the cognisance of the case and ordered the Delhi Police to act. The man was arrested after Rajnath Singh intervened, calling out Delhi Police Commissioner to initiate investigations.

They also said they were not in possession of the nerve agent Novichok.

The two Russian men, who say they are both about 40, were identified last week as suspects by the British government.

RT's Margarita Simonyan who interviewed the pair admitted she did not believe them and was "still waiting" for their holiday snaps.

The two added that they had planned to visit London on their trip, but a snowstorm hindered their plans.

The two men say that they can't leave their homes in Russian Federation any more out of fear that they'll be recognised on the street. Boshirov said. "The customs are checking everything, they would have questions as to why men have women's perfume in their luggage".

Boshirov acknowledged the pair may have been near Mr Skripal's house, but claimed they did not know where it was.

On Wednesday, Vladimir Putin called for the two men to speak with the media during an economic conference in Vladivostok.

"We, of course, checked who these people are", said Putin.

However, a European Arrest Warrant has been obtained in case they travel to the EU, and UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid has warned that the men will be caught and prosecuted if they ever step out of Russian Federation. U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May rallied support from allies for coordinated expulsions of more than 150 Russian diplomats, prompting tit-for-tat retaliation from Moscow.

March 12, afternoon - Public Health England ask everyone who visited Salisbury town centre on the day of the attack to wash all of their clothes and belongings.

"I wanted to engage with Putin and Sergey Lavrov to see if there were areas where we needed to engage".
