The Arrow, Flash and Supergirl event will be titled "Elseworlds", as the network announced on Wednesday.

It's unlikely that the Arrowverse would rehash this same premise only one year later, but that doesn't rule out the possibility of a crossover set in an alternate reality for "Elseworlds". Today we got more information about the event which includes the title as well as a very important character in the DC Universe who will be making his first Arrowverse appearance.

We now have a name to put to the Arrowverse's 2018 crossover event, which will unfold across three nights and shows this December. Check out the banner below!

The Question That Almost Derailed Lisa Wilkinson's Interview With Serena
Meanwhile, Serena has told Channel 10 she is trying to "move on" but remains perplexed at her coach's admission he illegally signalled to her.

In DC comics, Elseworlds is usually used to classify "what if" stories that took place outside of the regular DC continuity. League? Seeing as we know we'll be getting visits from comics classics like Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch), Superman (Tyler Hoechlin), Batwoman (Ruby Rose), Mrs. Freeze (Cassandra Jean Amell) and The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) in this year's crossover event, it's safe to say we'll be getting a very comics-oriented crossover this year. The Monitor was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez for their iconic crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths, where the Monitor was an alien being charged with watching over the multiverse.

Garrett is best-known for his role as Mike Ritter in the TV series Designated Survivor, and has previously appeared in The Last Ship, Sons of Anarchy, and Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon. Fortunately, the past few months have treated us to a variety of details regarding the subject, though we didn't know exactly how to piece them together. Share your thoughts in the comments section below! It continues on Arrow Monday, Dec. 10th at 8 p.m. and then finishes up on Supergirl Tuesday, Dec. 11th at 8 p.m. ET.
