The most surprising thing that was revealed in the final trailer forFantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, is that we'll get some backstory on the infamous female snake known as Nagini.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set some 70 years before Harry Potter went to the British boarding school and learned to become a wizard and the final trailer has some big reveals and plenty of winks to Potterheads. In a shot about thirty seconds in, her identity is revealed: the name Nagini is said as she appears to turn into a snake, before the next shot reveals that she has completely transformed into the animal.

"It will be so interesting to see another side of Nagini", she told Entertainment Weekly.

Are you excited to see Nagini in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald?

As YA author Ellen Oh wrote, "I feel this is the problem when white people want to do diversity and don't actually ask POC how to do so", adding that she thinks the casting is racist. "She is bound to [permanently] transform at some point to a beast so she feels this pressure that the clock is ticking". Nagini?! Yes, Lord Voldemort's snake and eventual Horcrux.

"I've seen so many videos and fan theories on YouTube", Kim shared with the outlet. Jude Law's Dumbledore is recruiting Newt Scamander to take down Grindelwald. Nagini does have some measure of control over her transformation in the trailer; she may not know the scope of her condition or will experience physical consequences of transforming regularly. We see her in the trailer as a shape-shifting circus performer in the 1920s, played by South Korean actress Kim.

The nearly two and a half minute trailer promises action, surprises, wondrous visual effects, a strong Dumbledore/Newt bond, and a terrifyingly motivated villain in Johnny Depp's Grindelwald.

Now the second installment in the planned five-part saga, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, is almost upon us.

Now, this means that, at best, Voldemort was in love or had feelings for a woman-turned-snake, and he was her only mode of human contact that could understand her.

Fans have been theorising that Kim would be Nagini, and that Nagini was a Maledictus for months, but it's finally been confirmed. There's clearly a lot more to Nagini than fans ever knew, including, as Kim hinted, other unique forms of magic.
