Real Madrid failed to capitalise on Barca's shock defeat after being humbled by Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Nabil El Zhar headed in at the far post to bring the scores level in the 52nd minute before a Gerard Pique mistake teed up Oscar Rodriguez to score the victor 68 seconds later.

Pique gave the ball away in the build up to Leganes's second goal, although Valverde insisted he is not concerned by the centre back's form.

Leganes goalkeeper Ivan Cuellar has accused Barcelona players of being bad losers after their shock 2-1 defeat on Wednesday.

In less than a minute, Leganes had taken 2-1 lead when Oscar Rodriguez netted from close range to secure their first victory of the new season. "It's a really negative result".

Mauricio Pellegrino's troops had finished the half strongly and they came flying out of the blocks after the restart to score twice in the space of a minute. Sometimes it's hard to explain the things that happen in a game.

Shaq's son Shareef O'Neal to undergo heart surgery
As a precaution, UCLA's doctors gave him a heart monitor to wear, giving him the ability to alert them with the push of a button. The answer is absolutely not. "During rehab, I'll be attending my classes and being a normal student", said Shareef.

"We wanted to get the second goal because a one goal lead is never enough". We didn't create the chances we'd have liked. "That's five points dropped in three days and it's hard to explain".

Barca were undone by Leganes's high pressing and Valverde is aware of the threat Athletic pose to his side with coach Eduardo Berizzo, who masterminded three wins out of six games against Barca when he was coach of Celta Vigo.

"We started badly and I honestly thought I could have done better on the goal", Cuellar said.

Oscar Rodriguez, a former member of Real Madrid's youth teams, who is on loan with Leganes, took advantage of Pique's uncharacteristic mistake to score the 53rd-minute victor.

Sevilla were relentless throughout the first half and after Franco Vazquez hit the bar, striker Wissam Ben Yedder scored in the 39th minute for his sixth goal in a week to stun Real, who suffered their first loss under manager Julen Lopetegu.

Lionel Messi was making his 700th Barca appearance - including non-official matches - and his assist for Coutinho, who flicked the ball up and volleyed into the bottom-right corner from 20 yards, put the champions ahead.
