Bob Woodward's new book has chief of staff John Kelly calling President Trump an'idiot who has'gone off the rails

We're in Crazytown.' Donald Trump flanked by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly (Right)Mr Trump on attorney general Jeff Sessions: 'This guy is mentally retarded.

Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis reportedly lashed out at Sean Spicer after the former White House press secretary repeatedly tried to get him to go on Sunday morning talk shows, according to a soon-to-be-released book by journalist Bob Woodward.

Trump spoke with Woodward over the phone on August 14 and expressed regret over not getting to speak to him for the book. "He's this dumb Southerner", Trump said about Sessions, according to the book.

This, after Trump allegedly wanted to assassinate Syrian President Bashar al-Assad before Mattis called for air strikes instead.

The book paints a picture of the president constantly at odds with his own advisers, including Secretary of Defense James Mattis and White House chief of staff John Kelly. "We're going to be much more measured", Mattis said according to Woodward's book.

The statement from Mr Kelly says: "The idea I ever called the president an idiot is not true".

Fear: Trump in the White House can be pre-ordered right now and will be available everywhere that books are sold next Tuesday.

"This book is nothing more than fabricated stories, many be former disgruntled employees, told to make the President look bad", Sanders said.

'Do not eat or sell any' Honey Smacks cereal, CDC says
The outbreak is still spreading: three new states reported illnesses in August. "Do not eat any Kellogg's Honey Smacks cereal". Illnesses in this outbreak started on dates ranging from Mar 3 to Aug 7, CDC said, adding the investigation is still ongoing.

"Let's just step back for a minute and consider the fact that Trump is trying to appoint to a lifetime seat on the Supreme Court while simultaneously being implicated in a truly staggering number of criminal cases and corruption scandals", Seth Meyers said on Late Night.

Later, Trump himself joined in with a Twitter post that called the anecdotes circulating from the Woodward book "frauds, a con on the public".

Following those air strikes on 7 April 2017, Trump praised the USA military, saying the military personnel "represented the United States and the world so well".

'He's an idiot. It is pointless to try and convince him of anything. "He's gone off the rails", Kelly was quoted in the book as saying. He always knows where I stand, and he and I both know this story is total BS.

Trump accused Woodward of making up quotations attributed to Kelly and the USA defence chief, James Mattis. "I don't even know why any of us are here". How in the world was I ever persuaded to pick him for my attorney general? "I stole it off his desk", Cohn told an associate, according to Woodward.

The account of the book by the Post depicts the president as angry, frustrated, and paranoid about special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

Trump added: "He couldn't even be a one-person country lawyer down in Alabama".

But in Fear, sadly, most of what we appear to get is confirmation.
