Almost half of Edmontonians won’t get flu shot

Of the 183 kids who died from the flu last season, 80 percent were unvaccinated.

Health officials say two laboratory-confirmed cases of the flu have been identified in one adult and one child in the Central and Eastern Shore regions of Maryland.

She said the vaccine is updated to protect against viruses it is believed will be circulating during the upcoming season.

The unidentified child was otherwise healthy before getting the flu, according to the Florida Department of Health's Bureau of Epidemiology.
