It's been reported that Ariana Grande is taking a break from social media following her "very sad" split from fiance Pete Davidson.

Hours before quitting the internet, Ariana revealed she was battling with anxiety.

"She has a lot of work to do on herself and she is in the process of healing and recovering from the breakup", the insider said of Grande, who purchased the whopping 4,000 square feet apartment with Davidson in June. There has been much speculation about the cause of their split with sources suggesting that tensions arose after the death of Ariana's former boyfriend Mac Miller, but neither party has come forward with an official statement.

Following the revelation earlier this week that Grande, 25, and Davidson, 24, had called off their engagement, the "God is a Woman" hitmaker shared a pic on Instagram Tuesday confirming it was "time to say bye bye to the internet for a bit". "It's hard not to bump into news n stuff that I'm not trying to see right now", she continued.

In an Instagram caption, she wrote, "Today was very special".

Shortly before, the No Tears Left To Cry hitmaker attended a taping of NBC's A Very Wicked Halloween, which is a tribute to the musical's 15th anniversary on Broadway.
