Broncos cut quarterback Chad Kelly after trespassing arrest

Broncos general manager John Elway was furious after learning about the arrest and decided it was best to get rid of Kelly. according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

About half an hour before the Broncos released him, Kelly appeared in Arapahoe County Court, where a court date of November 8 was set for filing charges. "After reviewing all the information.we agreed that releasing Chad was the right thing to do".

Kelly reportedly entered a house in the Denver area and sat down on a couch where he started mumbling incoherently. "Even though Chad is no longer part of our team, we've offered to help him however we can". The man identified Kelly as the intruder and provided surveillance video to police. He made his first appearance in Arapahoe County Court on Wednesday morning. Police say they found the 24-year-old Kelly afterward parked nearby.

He had been working on the project for months, said Desrochers. "[Jon] touched and lifted so many people in his brief stay here". He poured his ambition for life into his music and relentlessly worked toward advancement in the music industry.

Kelly's arrest came on the same night that teammate Von Miller hosted a players-only Halloween party, and it was assumed Kelly came from that party.

Kelly, the last pick in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, took the field for the Broncos for the first time in a regular-season game earlier this month, losing a yard on a play against the Los Angeles Rams on October 14.

Kelly is no stranger to off-field issues. Between stints at Clemson and Ole Miss, he allegedly punched a bouncer at a Buffalo restaurant and threatened to shoot up the place in 2014. He was ultimately arrested for criminal trespassing.
