Giant escaped pig lured back to his California home with help from Doritos

Cops in California say a runaway pig was unable to resist the lure of a hugely popular Frito-Lay snack.

A couple of San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies knew just what to do when confronted with a giant pig roaming loose in a neighborhood on Saturday.

The caller reportedly described the road hog as a real porker, comparing it to "the size of a mini horse".

The deputies then came up with a yummy plan.

The footage shows one of the officers walking in front of the hefty swine, flashing a Doritos chip, as the pig follows her. Pictures show the animal was receptive to the trick and to the officers' petting.

One of the deputies had Doritos in her lunch bag and made a decision to lure the animal, which was "the size of a mini horse" back home.

This big pig - or his owner, at least - has apparently crossed paths with the law.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Deputy Shelly Ponce pets the escaped pig.

'Crime fighting to safely securing a mini horse sized pig, we do it all, ' the department joked.
