DJ accused of mailing pipe bombs 'left a trail of DNA clues'

He nearly certainly had no idea that lab technicians had linked DNA on two pipe bomb packages he was accused of sending to prominent Democrats to a sample previously collected by Florida state authorities.

Sayoc, a registered Republican with a long criminal record, was taken into custody at an AutoZone in Plantation, Florida, just outside Fort Lauderdale.

Also earning a mention: California Rep. Maxine Waters, another frequent Trump target who was sent a package.

Sayoc is expected to appear before a judge in Florida on Monday. He could face up to 48 years in prison if convicted.

Moore said that he might sit down with Sayoc one day to "break bread and ask him 'why me?'" "Because of this target he put on me, the police and security people were looking on Friday to see if a package had been sent to me and, if so, is it still somewhere in the postal delivery system", he shared. He said possible DNA evidence was found on another package. Then a fingerprint match turned up on a separate packages that authorities say he sent.

Friday afternoon, authorities said more devices may still be in transit, and they need people to remain vigilant and report any information to authorities.

More recently, Sayoc described himself on social media as being affiliated with the Seminole Warriors boxing club. That was not uncommon for the amateur body builder and former stripper whose social media accounts are peppered with memes supporting Trump and posts vilifying Democrats. They were tipped off by similarities of misspelled words on the packages and the same misspelled words on his Twitter account.

Aides also refused to say whether Trump had been briefed on the arrest before or after his 10:19 a.m. tweet in which he suggested doubts about the attempted bombs.

Irish blasphemy laws set for repeal after poll win
It is now illegal to publish or speak of anything "grossly abusive or insulting in relation to matters sacred by any religion". The Irish Independent newspaper estimated that turnout was less than 45 percent, the lowest ever for a presidential election.

Of the four bombs discovered Friday, one was addressed to Sen.

One law enforcement official said the fingerprint discovery was a major breakthrough.

Sayoc's political awakening appears to have coincided with Trump's rise. Earlier this month he tweeted at Rochelle Ritchie, a political analyst and former press secretary for house Democrats, whom he likely saw on a Fox News segment. His campaign isssued a statement saying: "Our top priority is ensuring our campaign, our volunteers, and our public events are safe, and we have taken strong security precautions".

The tweet that Rochelle Ritchie complained about said, "Hug your loved ones real close every time you leave home".

"I think that everybody on the Democratic side would look at that shooter of Congressman Scalise and absolutely condemn his action, him and anyone associated with him", Steyer said, referring to the shooting of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., during a congressional baseball practice past year.

Twitter is often criticized for its handling of abusive content.

Documents released Friday by the Broward County Sheriff's Office show Sayoc reported in May 2015 that more than $40,000 in goods were stolen from his van and an attached trailer, including 11 pieces of Donald Trump-brand clothing valued at $7,150.

Twitter also walked back their response to Ritche in a public post admitting they made a mistake and that "the Tweet clearly violated our rules and should have been removed".
