George Lopez has been never been one to hold back his political views.

However, the man on the video later contacted TMZ and claimed he had only wanted a photo with Lopez that night and had cracked a joke to try to make him smile.

In the clip filmed on Sunday, the Trump supporter holds the camera on selfie mode and waits for the comedian to walk by.

'Here comes my boy George.

We spoke with the guy who Lopez grabbed by the neck in a shocking video taken at the wing joint in New Mexico. Clearly, Lopez was already perturbed at the guy because the actor asks him if he's trying to start "some more bull****t". On a "Late Show" appearance in June 2016, Lopez said: "Trump says the Mexicans love me".

"He's a badass! Look at him, he wants to fight me!" the man says as Lopez appears to go for his neck. He wants to fight me!

Lopez eventually gave the phone back, said the man, who tried to joke around by saying, "On the count of three, say Make America Great Again!"

Las Cruces police spokesman Dan Trujillo said Tuesday that authorities are looking into the incident, according to the Las Cruces Sun News.

Lopez has not commented on the incident. So it's no surprise that Lopez isn't exactly on great terms with the MAGA crowd.

Lopez has been a loud critic of the Trump administration.

A year ago he was booed off the stage of a charity gala in Denver after his anti-Trump jokes fell flat with the crowd who had paid $5,000 to $100,000 for tables.

Lopez's jokes about Trump have not always been welcomed.
