Google Pixel 3 XL gets horrifying second notch thanks to weird glitch

[Update: Fix coming] Hilarious Pixel 3 XL bug adds a second notch to the side of the screen

The Pixel 3 has one of the worst notches, and making matters even worse for some Pixel 3 XL users is a weird bug that's reportedly putting even more notches on their displays.

Some Pixel 3 XL users are reporting a unusual (and honestly pretty funny) glitch: the appearance of an extra notch located on the right-hand side of the phone's screen.

The glitch appears to be easily fixable - changing some developer settings or resetting the phone should do the trick. Try two notches! That's exactly what some Pixel 3 XL owners are now experiencing, with a new glitch plopping an additional "virtual" notch on the screen of Google's latest flagship device.

Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez dedicates goal vs Tottenham to Leicester owner
Mahrez's strike proved the difference as City proved victorious at Wembley Stadium. He did a lot for me and for Leicester. I spent four and a half years there.

The interesting one from this is that Google themselves said in their documentation for Android Pie that they would only allow a maximum of two notches (Check, they pass) but only on the short edge of the device (whoops). Unfortunately, both the Pixel 3 XL and Pixel 3 have been struck with a variety of software bugs right out of the gate. It likely has something to do with Android's developer settings that lets you create a virtual notch to test your apps for devices with notches.

Google is apparently aware of the issue and is working on releasing a fix to address this soon.
