By the time India "C" finished with 352/7 in the Deodhar Trophy final, Iyer - leading India "B" had the chance to prove why he is the only batsman from either team to have made it back into India's T20 worldwide team.

Having decided his team will bat first in the Deodhar Trophy final at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground on Saturday, opener Rahane scored a magnificent 144* as India C got the better of defending champions India B.

India C skipper Rahane was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match for his match winning effort. Both batsmen took their time to get their eye in and consolidated the base in the first 13 overs. He smashed eleven boundaries along with eight massive sixes.

India B were in the game until Iyer was at the crease.

It is believed that he will remain in the United States until the clash on December 1, in nearby Los Angeles. Deontay Wilder is looking for that one right hand all night". "I was lost, I didn't know what to do".

He scored 108 runs off his next 55 balls before he was dismissed by Jaydev Unadkat for an 87-ball 114 which had eleven fours and six sixes in it. Rahane, who was playing the anchor's role while Ishan was setting the stage on fire, took things in his own hands after the dismissal of Ishan as he reached his own century off 121 balls. Kishan, after getting off to a brilliant 114 got out off the bowling of Jayadev Unadkat.

Later, Suryakumar Yadav added some vital 39 runs off 18 deliveries.

Iyer went on raging a lone battle as the middle order, barring stumper Ankush Bains (37) and Deepak Chahar (21) failed to give enough support to the skipper before being eventually bowled out for 323 in 46.1 overs. Rahane entered the century club and stayed unbeaten to help his side post a mammoth 352/7. They lost the early wickets within the fourth over of the match. However, Roy struck again and India C had the advantage.

Chasing 353, India B lost the wicket of the unsafe Mayank Agarwal early. After the match, Iyer said, "I felt if I had stayed till the 45th over, the chase was going to be easy".
