Tata Group fires Suhel Seth over #MeToo allegations

Tata Sons, promoter of the Tata Group companies, announced yesterday that it has ended association with adman and brand consultant Suhel Seth following allegations of sexual misconduct by several women.

Seth will cease to be associated with Tata Sons after his contract with it expires on November 30, according to a report. Seth, a known proponent of the right-wing politics, has chosen to remain silent on the topics with many suspecting that he may have left India.

Earlier Tata Group had said that the company was looking into the issue and would soon take a decision on the matter. Global mentorship platform World Woman Foundation has cancelled its ties with Seth, and Coca Cola and the Mahindra Group have terminated their relations with him.

Among the women who accused Suhel Seth of sexual harassment and molestation in #MeToo accounts was model and ex-Big Boss contestant Diandra Soares.

First Look Poster of ‘Kedarnath’ Released
The tagline of the film is Love Is A Pilgrimage and shows that nothing in the world can defeat the emotion of true love. The first poster of Kedarnath featuring actors Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput has released.

Soares recalled in a social media post how Seth had misbehaved with her at a party.

She wrote on Twitter that just as she was leaving and saying goodbye to the people present, Seth reached out and kissed her on the mouth, even shoving his tongue inside her mouth. "I was so stunned and I said something like "Suhel, you can't do that".

Over the last one week, five women have alleged Seth, a wellknown marketing consultant, and frequent guest on TV news channels, has sexually assaulted them in the past.

Several other companies mentioned as clients on Counselage's website-which has been not been working since the accusations began emerging -have distanced themselves from Seth when asked about their current relationship. High-profile men in positions of power including MJ Akbar, Alok Nath, Sajid Khan, Vikas Bahl, Nana Patekar have been accused of predatory behaviour and sexual harassment.
