Former cricketer Mohsin Khan has been given an important assignment in the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi has rejected the boards expenditure report on total monetary expenses during his tenure.

As reported by Geo News, former global cricketer and chief selector Mohsin Khan has been appointed chairman of the committee while its other members will be former captains Wasim Akram and Misbah-ul-Haq, and former captain of the women's team Urooj Mumtaz.

According to a notification issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today, Mohsin Khan former cricketer and selector will serve as the chairman of the committee. Zakir will be the secretary of the cricket committee.

PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani told the media in Lahore that the committee would be overseeing the appointment of the national selection committees and the national team coaches besides formulating playing conditions for domestic matches.

It will also review plans for the development of officials like umpires, referees, and curators across Pakistan and also receive an annual assessment on how they perform.

Former cricketers Mudassar Nazar, Haroon Rasheed and Zakir Khan will assist the committee in carrying out its functions. Zakir Khan will serve as worldwide cricket director, Haroon Rasheed will act as domestic cricket director, while Mudassar Nazar will perform duties as director academies.

The decision was made after the PCB procured and processed detailed information from the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Emirates Cricket Board, the country's cricket board said.

"I'm now playing domestic cricket which gives me enough insight on the problems faced by players".
