And as we'd reported earlier, Porsche will not be offering a diesel engine on the new Cayenne, as it has chose to do away with diesel engines for good.

- The Cayenne is the highest selling Porsche in the country.

The Cayenne is Porsche's bestselling model in India and rivals the likes of the Range Rover Sport and the BMW X5 M in our market.

The new Cayenne being a Porsche model retains the basic silhouette intact.

The new Porsche Cayenne, Cayenne E-Hybrid and Cayenne Turbo are now available at all Porsche showrooms in India.

Fans face rain to greet Prince Harry and Meghan in Melbourne
The lights went out and both Harry and Meghan pressed the buttons to launch their cars along the state dining room table. The main focus of the tour is the Invictus Games, which start in Sydney on Saturday.

Developed ground-up, the Cayenne moved to the new MLB Evo platform and carries an evolutionary design along with updated interiors. Additionally, the Cayenne is available with rear-axle steering and mixed-size tires derived from the 911, which improve agility, stability, and safety.

In terms of design, the new Cayenne borrows several cues from the Panamera. The headlamps now have the four-point LED signature. At the rear, it gets a new set of LED tail light clusters and an LED light bar that runs across the width of the auto. Overall, the new Cayenne looks sleeker, sportier, better proportioned and more handsome as compared to the outgoing auto. The SUV has a tailgate with an integrated spoiler and quad-exhausts.

The Porsche Advanced Cockpit concept also offers connectivity and intuitive controls, whilst the center console with Direct Touch Control, a new 12.3-inch touchscreen display for the PCM act as the driver's interface to all vehicle functions.

Under the hood, there are three powertrain options for the three variants. The top of the line Cayenne Turbo gets a 4.0-litre twin-turbo, V8 petrol engine that generates 550 BHP and 770 Nm of torque. This will enable the auto to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 3.5 seconds and travel more than 310 miles (500 km) in the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). The combined output is 462bhp and 700Nm which enables a 0-100kmph time of just five seconds.

Porshe previously said that the upcoming Taycan EV would have a price roughly in line with the base Panamera, but the German brand has now chose to make it even less expensive, according to Automotive News Europe. These new developments bring the Cayenne even closer to its racetrack roots, thanks to better versatility and more performance.
