Red Dead Redemption 2 Will Have Over 50 Guns to Fire

Red Dead Redemption 2 will allow players see and do a lot of things, but, of course, good old-fashioned gunslinging will remain one of the game's core activities.

Apparently, the finished version of Red Dead Redemption 2 features over 300,00 animations, 500,000 lines of dialogue, and an insane number of lines of code.

Revealed on the official Rockstar Games website, the developer confirmed that there are over 50 unique usable weapons with a range of customiation options and multiple types of ammunition that can affect damage, range and accuracy.

Unbelievably, the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date is less than two weeks away. To counter this, guns degrade over time if you don't look after them, and if you want to keep going back to that same rifle, you're going to have to oil it and keep it squeaky clean.

If riding on horseback, Rockstar recommends a double-action revolver for its "high-fire rate"- a necessity for rapid movement. But even with a game of this size, Rockstar cut roughly 5 hours of the main-campaign in the way a movie might excise a few scenes here and there - they either didn't work, felt superfluous, or didn't add anything meaningful to the story.

For situations where accuracy is key, sniper rifles may be a better fit.
