Because demand for ultra small, high-resolution image sensors are growing nowadays, smartphones will evolve to deliver new and more exciting camera experience for users, says Ben Hur, Vice President of Samsung's System LSI Marketing.

The latest announcement from Samsung marks a significant step to claim some of the lucrative image sensor market historically dominated by rival Sony. The two new ISOCELL sensors have been announced keeping in mind the trend of slim, bezel-less smartphones. Considering that Samsung's next-gen Galaxy S10 will probably arrive in February of next year, as usual, that means there's a good chance it'll have the new sensor.

At the same time, Samsung said its Isocell Plus technology technology allows for decent performance despite the small pixels.

BPL 2019: AB de Villiers signs up with Rangpur Riders
Earlier this week, the Sylhet Sixers signed David Warner and Sandeep Lamichhane for the upcoming edition. Like IPL every Franchise is limited to fielding a maximum of four overseas players in their playing XI.

If manufacturers are not even concerned about the latest 48-megapixel and 32-megapixel technology, they could still make use of the same sensors to make better details in challenging light situations.

Something to look forward to: New camera modules from Samsung are headed to production soon that will enable better low light performance and high resolution shots during the day. Adding to that, gyro-based EIS is also supported. "With the introduction of our cutting-edge 0.8μm-pixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 and GD1 image sensors, we are committed to continue driving innovation in image sensor technologies". These are the 48MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 and the 32MP ISOCELL Bright GD1 and they have been designed with the goal to allow smartphone makers to fit more cameras in a single device, without increasing its footprint.
