Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande may have called off their engagement according to new reports

TMZ reports that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have made a decision to call off their engagement and break up.

TMZ reports that the couple ended their engagement over the weekend after acknowledging "that it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off".

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson announced their surprise engagement earlier this year in May - just a few weeks after they were reportedly just casually dating. It was noted the two have love for each other, but that they will no longer be involved in a romantic manner. TMZ originally reported the news, and a source close to Grande confirmed it to PEOPLE, saying the decision was mutual.

As previously reported, The "Saturday Night Live" star was the first to confirm that he was engaged to the "God is a Woman" singer after dropping almost $100,000 on a ring.

Just last month, Grande's ex-fiance Mac Miller died of a drug overdose.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s private jet ‘struck by lightning’
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle suffered a mid-air scare after their private jet was struck by lightning, it has been reported. They then head off to Taronga Zoo to hear about work against the illegal wildlife trade and visit the Sydney Opera House.

Grande has been going through a hard time since her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller died of an apparent overdose at 26 in September. Since then, Grande has been largely absent from social media, cancelling scheduled performances and delaying her tour indefinitely.

"Someone I'm very close to was supposed to come sing for you today, and because of things that she's going through, she couldn't be here today", he shared.

'I believe in us and all, but I just want to make sure that she can't go anywhere, ' he said during an appearance on SNL.

It's all over for Ariana Grande & Pete Davidson.
