Twitter erupts as Kentucky wins after controversial PI call

Terry Wilson threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to C.J. Conrad on the final play to lift Kentucky past Missouri.

In the fourth quarter, still leading 14-3, Missouri looked to have a firm hold on the game after stuffing Kentucky on fourth-and-goal from the 2-yard line. Fortunately for the Cats Missouri was called for pass interference on the play and United Kingdom was awarded one untimed play from the 2-yard line. And he did, returning it 67 yards for the touchdown that changed the game, pulling United Kingdom back to within 14-9 with 5:18 left in what before that seemed to be a lost cause.

Kentucky busted out early in the first quarter on the game's third play, when wide receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. caught a screen, reversed field and almost scampered for a touchdown. The winning play happened on an untimed down because DeMarkus Acy was called for pass interference in the end zone as time expired on the previous play.

The Tigers were ahead for the final 44 minutes until the Wildcats (7-1, 5-1 SEC) went ahead on the final play. A first down on any of them could have changed the tenor of this game. The self-inflicted errors that plagued the Tigers during their three-game winless start to SEC play seemed poised to spring up once more.

Both offenses struggled through the third quarter and most of the fourth. Missouri had the ball eight times in the second half and went three-and-out in each of those eight possessions.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Nick Fitzgerald threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns and ran for two more scores to lead Mississippi State over Texas A&M.

"We practiced that in fall camp", Gran said.

The warning comes after the United States leader attended a rally in IN on Saturday where the song Happy was played. It warned that use of the song constituted a copyright infringement and Pharrell's trademark rights.

Lynn Bowden rose to the occasion, the sophomore wide receiver who caught 13 passes for a career-high 166 yards, but who made the biggest play of the game by telling the coaching staff he wanted to return a punt.

Said Bowden, "We've got to put on a show".

But as anemic as the offense was for 58 minutes and 26 seconds of the game the Kentucky defense was just the opposite. On third-and-2, Lock dropped back to pass and was flushed out of the pocket.

"I listened to the play call, coach (Derek) Dooley called it", Lock said. Because we complete that ball, no one hates on him.

Wilson hit Conrad on the next play for the win.

The penalty that set up the play was questionable at best. "What separates really good from great is the ability to finish and win close games". Florida (6-2, 4-2) took a one-point lead early in the third quarter - Feleipe Franks threw a flawless, 36-yard touchdown pass to Freddie Swain - but Georgia answered with another Fromm-to-Holloman connection and then pulled away late.
