However, once the brash-Brit became champion he spiralled out of control.

Dominic Breazeale hopes to receive his mandatory WBC title fight against the Deontay Wilder-Tyson Fury victor by the summer of 2019.

It is believed that he will remain in the United States until the clash on December 1, in nearby Los Angeles.

The Gypsy King has spoken openly about his struggles with mental illness in recent years and expressed relief at being back in the ring again.

"I would start thinking these insane thoughts", Tyson told video podcast The Joe Rogan Experience.

'I'm able to get away with a lot of stuff as a cruiserweight that I won't be able to get away with as a heavyweight, so we're just going to work on it, ' he said.

"I just wanted to die so bad, I'd given up on life and just as I was heading towards that bridge at 190 in this Ferrari - it'd have crushed like a Coke can if I'd have hit it - I heard a voice saying "no, don't do this Tyson - think about your kids, think about your family and your little boys and girls growing up with no father". Deontay Wilder is looking for that one right hand all night". "I was lost, I didn't know what to do". I just wanted to die so bad. "Whatever them guys are doing, let them do it", said Wilder. God bless you Wilder!'

"Years ago, before 2013, I used to take everything bang in the face and use heart and determination to get through everything".

While Deontay Wilder's spotlight has been a bit brighter since his very public negotiations with Anthony Joshua, the WBC world heavyweight champion refuses to focus on Joshua prior to his December 1st fight with Tyson Fury.
