"With her husband, Sheldon, she also established the Adelson Medical Research Foundation, which supports research to prevent, reduce, or eliminate disabling and life-threatening illness", the White House said.

The White House also lauded the accomplishments of Hatch, one of the longest-serving senators in USA history, citing his four decades of legislative accomplishments and his leadership on judicial confirmations.

The White House praised the work of Hatch, who has four decades of legislative work during his time as Utah senator.

Page played 15 NFL seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears, developing a reputation as one of the league's most fearsome pass rushers. He practiced law in the off-season and eventually became a member of the Minnesota Supreme Court. In 1988, he started the Page Education Foundation, which went on to provide scholarships to almost 7,000 students. The White House also said that it relished in how Presley 'fused gospel, country, and rhythm and blues to create a sound all his own, selling more than a billion records'.

Ruth, one of baseball's all-time greats, was born in Baltimore. His legacy has never been eclipsed, and he remains the personification of "America's Pastime".

Staubach, as a quarterback, won two Super Bowls and made the Pro Bowl six times with the Dallas Cowboys before retiring in 1979.
