"Still, it's always a big day when you get to put the first actual miles on an early prototype and I'm delighted with the near ideal correlation between the simulator and this prototype", said Aston Martin Chief Engineer, Matt Becker. Likewise, the lengthy hashtag, with spaces (somebody #doesn't get hashtags), confirms the British marque is all too aware of the pressure it faces in entering the now-crowded premium sports SUV segment.

It's the front and rear styling of the new DBX SUV that most clearly showcases the familiar and legendary Aston look, complete with the iconic grille shape and aggressive forward slant across its face.

"Seeing a DBX development prototype in action is a momentous chapter in the story of our first SUV, for it is the moment it really comes alive", Aston Martin Lagonda president and CEO Andy Palmer said in a statement.

The first "real-world" test for the DBX? The SUV looks nearly ready for production right now and the camouflage, though comprehensive, has left little for the imagination.

George R.R. Martin's Superhero Franchise Wild Cards Is Coming To Hulu
Universal Cable Productions will produce along with Hulu , with Andrew Miller set to write and executive produce both projects. Since then, it has become a sprawling, connected universe of characters, spun from an original idea of Martin and Snodgrass.

DBX is scheduled to be unveiled in the last quarter of 2019 and will be built at Aston Martin Lagonda's St Athan facility.

Technical details on the DBX have not been released, but video shows it being tested on a dirt road rally stage in Wales, not far from the new manufacturing facility where it will be built, confirming some level of off-road capability. However, the DBX concept that debuted at the show is nothing like the production vehicle that we will see launched sometime in the fourth quarter of 2019. At back, the concept's horizontal taillights are replaced with what looks like vertical units, while the tailgate is more conventional and as the doors suggest, are more practical to use as well. However, it's likely an EV variant will follow after the initial launch.

The DBX is set to ride on an Aston Martin platform.
