It appears like Marvel's heroes would be needing more time to defeat Thanos in the 4th installment of the Avengers franchise, as the Co-director Joe Russo is reported to have said that the highly anticipated MCU movie could be its longest ever, as of now.

But given the epic scale of the recent Marvel films and abundance of characters, it's easy to see why a lengthy sequel would make sense. "I do think it will be longer than Avengers 3", he had said.

Fair warning it's not easy.

With the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War coming out in late November a year ago, many had wondered if its sequel would follow a similar timeline. Sounds like it's basically ready to go if half the film's done and they've got three hours to choose from, right?

Talking about the post-production of the film he revealed, "We're about halfway through the editing process". We are only scratching the surface of all our stages in VFX. There are more than 3000 VFX shots in the movie.

The stakes could very well not exist for Avengers 4, because, having regard to the phenomenal success of Infinity War, it is hard to see how the result could be a failure at the box-office.

The trailer for "Avengers: Infinity War" came out in November 2017, and the film was released April 27 (its original release date was May 4). We just started work on the score.

One of the Russo brothers spilled a major fact about the much-awaited sequel to "Avengers: Infinity War": it may be three hours long. Sound off in the comments below. During his chat, Russo teased many things, but was notably coy about details surrounding the film's trailer. He's also a Star Wars and Marvel nerd and will jump at the chance to talk about either. 3 for making him the gamer he is today.
