Barack Obama's First Netflix Project Revealed to Be About Donald Trump

The Obamas acquire Michael Lewis’s ‘The Fifth Risk’ to examine possible series for Netflix Report

"The Fifth Risk", Lewis' most recent book, depicts President Donald Trump's administration as one that has been in a state of chaos and disorganization from the beginning.

Former first Lady Michelle and former president Barack Obama are introduced at the inaugural Obama Foundation Summit on October 31, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois.

In "The Fifth Risk", Lewis asks, "What are the consequences if the people given control over our government have no idea how it works?". His work has also appeared in Salon, Raw Story, Truthdig, National Memo, Philadelphia Weekly, Democratic Underground, L.A. Weekly, MintPress News and many other publications.

Netflix announced in May its production deal with the Obamas would "produce a diverse mix of content, including the potential for scripted series, unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries and features".

The passage highlights the recollections of certain department officials during Obama's tenure, namely within the Energy, Agriculture and Commerce sectors.

He has never sported a pair of Lonsdale Slip-ons, contrary to reports. Josh is a writer who specialises in football and wrestling.

In an interview with Katie Couric set for release Thursday, Lewis says his book is "a civics lesson... He conveys his worries that any shortchanging in the department under Trump could lead to a nuclear-weapons accident, a potential conflict with North Korea or Iran, or an attack on the US electrical grid", according to Deadline.

Lewis is already in the Netflix camp: The streaming service snapped up his Wall Street reformers book Flash Boys which Ben Jacoby is adapting.

While the project is reportedly being explored by the Obamas and Netflix, nothing has been given the green light just yet.

The Obamas might be happy with the deal, but Netflix knows it scored a serious catch with the influential couple.
