The rapper known as Tekashi 6ix9ine was in federal custody Monday awaiting a Manhattan court appearance.

The "FEFE" rapper and his estranged Tr3yway affiliates, Shotti and Crippy, have reportedly been arrested and taken into custody under RICO, involving drug and conspiracy charges.

6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, and the rap star's manager and frequent companion Treyway Shottie have been arrested and indicted by federal agents on racketeering charges. The investigation was a joint effort by the bureau, NYPD, and Homeland Security.

His debut album, Day69, is among the most downloaded records on iTunes.

Law enforcement sources told the outlet that 6ix9ine was cuffed by ATF agents in NYC at the same time his ex-manager Shottie was also arrested.

The 22-year-old recently pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in Brooklyn Criminal Court in connection with a May traffic stop.

One day later, two men associated with Hernandez were involved in a shooting outside a Manhattan restaurant; his attorney Lance Lazzaro told NBC New York that Hernandez wasn't present at the time of the incident.
