Protesters march through central London as they demand a People's Vote on Brexit

Their letter demands that the Prime Minister rejects a "destructive hard Brexit" that will hurt the British economy.

Dozens of prominent business leaders wrote to The Sunday Times to urge Theresa May's government to hold a second Brexit referendum to avoid a "destructive" economic impact.

Other people who put their name to the letter include Cobra Beer founder Lord Bilimoria, former Marks and Spencer chairman and ex-Labour peer Lord Myners, Alex Chesterman, founder of the Zoopla property website, and Sir Simon Robertson, the ex-chairman of Rolls-Royce. Now over 70 corporate chiefs have made a decision to get the band back together and are launching a group called Business for a People's Vote, an offshoot of the formal People's Vote campaign that rose from the ashes of the defeated Remain camp.

Her latest plan for Brexit would resolve the Northern Irish border problem with customs checks happening in factories rather than at the border.

A Downing Street source told the BBC the Prime Minister was clear that there would be no new referendum.

Invest Europe's chief executive Michael Collins says: "The UK has always been a good place to invest and Brexit isn't really changing people's perspectives of that fundamental strength".
