Calipari says Duke 'outcoached, outplayed' Kentucky

"Obviously, we were all very excited and hyped up for that game, and it's kind of a blow to your chest". And all Duke did was hand John Calipari the most lopsided loss of his 10-year tenure in Lexington. Only four times has one of his teams suffered a 30-point loss in 924 games. He may not be the one that gets all of the headlines, but there is not a single team in the country that features three players that are big enough, athletic enough and good enough defensively to handle Duke's Big Three. I mean, we only created four turnovers. "They were just better than us". "I told (UK's players) I got outcoached, you guys got outplayed, we'll watch the tape and move on".

Kentucky just had no answers for R.J. Barrett and Duke Tuesday night. The Wildcats were outscored 60-38 in the paint.

RJ Barrett led the way for the Dukies with a game-high 33 points in addition to six assists and four rebounds.

You can't guard him, either, as evidenced by the 28 points he posted on 11-for-13 shooting.

"Really proud of my guys", Krzyzewski said. "And they responded. They were magnificent".

For the Blue Devils, Jack White was there to keep them together.

Maybe Kentucky fans heard that because many had left by then, something that nearly never happens at a Kentucky basketball game.

After making it 59-42 at halftime, Duke kept pulling away throughout the second half.

Business figures call for vote on Brexit terms
Their letter demands that the Prime Minister rejects a "destructive hard Brexit " that will hurt the British economy. A Downing Street source told the BBC the Prime Minister was clear that there would be no new referendum.

Duke shot 54.4 percent from the field (43 of 79), including a 12-of-26 night from the 3-point line. The Blue Devils have won 19 consecutive openers.

Keldon Johnson scored 23 points to lead Kentucky.

Lawson made a case, too, finishing with 14 rebounds and six assists after sitting out last season following his transfer from Memphis. It was as bad a night as United Kingdom has ever experienced in a high-profile game. The Jayhawks never trailed in the second half. It will be interesting to see how United Kingdom bounces back from this one.

But in a game that was basically one giant Duke run - literally, as the Blue Devils created one fast break after another, resulting from their 10 steals and the Wildcats' 15 turnovers (Duke had only four), opening with a 27-10 advantage and outscoring Kentucky by the same 59-42 margin in both halves - it wasn't just the freshmen who were almost flawless.

4-4 - The Cats' record in the Champions Classic.

Although the Blue Devils' early lead quickly silenced Big Blue Nation, Duke will need a vocal leader on the court to keep everyone's heads in check for ACC road games.

A top 15 recruit in his own right, Jones could not be a more flawless point guard for this Duke team.
