It Sure Sounds Like the Rockets Realize Signing Carmelo Anthony Was a Huge Mistake

For the second straight night, Anthony was not with the team Sunday because of an illness, according to the Rockets.

In the 10 games Carmelo Anthony has played in, Houston has a net rating of minus-9.0 with Anthony on the court and minus-0.2 with him on the bench, per NBA.com. The 10-time All-Star has appeared in 10 games this season and is averaging 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 40.5 percent from the field and 32.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Houston would be on the hook for that contract if it decides to waive him.

You can imagine the two sides aren't going to agree that the answer is increasing Anthony's minutes.

Mike D'Antoni continues to publicly "back" Carmelo when asked by reporters to comment on his performances thug far.

Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer announces retirement
Paul, Minnesota, Mauer, along with former teammate Justin Morneau , anchored the Twins lineup for years, bringing a sense of excitement to the team.

"I feel like we have been playing better ... but the reality is we're nowhere near where we expect to be and we have high expectations and we're going to stick with those", Morey said.

Anthony, 34, signed a one-year veteran's minimum deal worth $2.4 million with Houston in August after being traded from the Thunder to the Hawks.

"I know that we're talking about everything", he said.

It's been a rough day for Carmelo Anthony. Again, that's why he's here. "I understand it, because he's obviously a Hall of Famer, but it's unfair". So much so, after only a few weeks into the season, the Rockets are already contemplating if they can even go forward with him. You need to talk to Daryl.
