So who did the locker belong to before it was auctioned?

Dan Dotson, an auctioneer on the popular A&E show "Storage Wars", recalled on Facebook being at an event earlier this month, when a woman approached him.

Bizarrely, the storage unit is said to have come up for auction because its owners had not been paying its rental fees.

"Storage Wars" star Dan Dotson said he just discovered that he sold a storage unit containing $7.5 million in cash for a measly $500. "It had $7.5 million dollars cash inside the safe".

According to the woman, the new owner of the storage unit was immediately contacted by an attorney representing the original owners of the unit.

Cowboys' Cooper appears to troll 76ers' Fultz with free throw TD celebration
He took to Snapchat to praise the shot as a chorus of family members and friends laughed and cheered in the background. Fultz was a good sport, posting a video of the celebration and his reaction on Instagram saying "good shot boy".

The new owners declined the initial offer before settling on $1.2 million to return the remaining $6.3 million.

Dotson and his wife, Laura, then debated what they would do if they discovered the money.

Dotson and his wife then discussed what they would do under the circumstances, with wife Laura saying "I don't feel like it would be clean money".

Dotson, meanwhile, said he "wouldn't ask a damn thing" about the $1.2 million offer. "This is the modern day treasure hunt".
