Robert Lewandowski broke the deadlock against his former club after heading home from the edge of the six-yard box.

This is also just the second time that Dortmund have reached the 11-game mark unbeaten, and the first since 2002-03.

After a pulsating clash, however, it was Dortmund who came out on top.

The dramatic match saw Dortmund snatch the victor through Paco Alcacer in the 73rd minute after Marco Reus' either side of Robert Lewandowski's double had brought Dortmund level.

However, Paco Alcacer made it 3-2 to Favre's men in the 73rd minute with a strike past Neuer following a long pass from Alex Witsel from his own half.

Four other tombs were found, including one belonging to Khufu-Imhat, the overseer of buildings in the royal palace. Egypt's ancient relics are a draw for tourists and authorities hope new finds can also help attract more visitors.

Bayern had a chance for a late equaliser, which nearly arrived from a free-kick from Kimmich but it was mistakenly headed back towards his own goal by Reus, who could only watch as the ball dropped past the post.

Despite other goal scoring opportunities the scores remained 3-2 at the blast of the final whistle.

Dortmund, meanwhile, are on track to enjoy a record-breaking campaign.

Seven points ahead of third-placed Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga, could they be on their way to a first league title triumph since the heady days of Jurgen Klopp?
