Manchester United could happily allow forward Alexis Sanchez to leave the club for Paris Saint-Germain next summer.

Sanchez has endured a hard start to his United career, scoring just four goals in 26 appearances across all competitions since his move from Arsenal last January.

Sanchez was unhappy with Jose Mourinho after he was dropped earlier this season, and reports claimed last week that the 29-year-old is considering leaving Old Trafford.

The Sun even claims that United would be willing to let their Chilean attacker go for nothing, or a very small fee, just to his wages are no longer an issue.

The Chile global agreed on a reported £500,000 per week salary and was awarded the iconic number seven jersey but has failed to inspire the side to new heights and has even fallen down the pecking order behind the much-maligned Anthony Martial.

Jose Mourinho escapes FA charge over alleged abusive language
Following the incident, Mourinho was "formally reminded of his responsibilities" by the FA, although the Portuguese escaped a charge for his part in the row.

The Sun UK reports that the French giants are keen on landing the player and could make a move in the summer.

"It's no secret he has struggled and not lived up to the expectations".

'He isn't getting any younger and it might never work for him.

"One of their top stars could go and it's not beyond the realms of possibility that a deal could be struck between the two clubs".
